FUND RAISING RAFFLE UNDER WAY

Brother Knights:

A Billings family needs our help.

Though not a member of the Knights, but a friend of some Council 9976 Knights, Dave Stebbins of Billings has been undergoing treatment for a rare form of Squamous Cell Carcinoma.
This skin cancer has invaded the mucous membrane of his nose and the upper pallet of his mouth.
Dave already has undergone extensive surgery that has left him seriously disfigured. He continues to receive other treatments, including radiation and chemotherapy.

St. Pius X Knights of Columbus Council 9976 of Billings is working to raise funds for Dave and his family, primarily to assist with travel and other expenses involved in getting to where he needs to go for medical care.

To raise funds, we are holding a raffle with more than 20 prizes, including $50.00 and $100.00 cash, provided by Council 9976 Friday Adult Bingo.

The drawings will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Billings/St. Patrick's Counil Hall at 2216 Grand Ave., who have donated use of the hall for this worthy cause.

The public is invited to this event, which will include a silent auction and music. We hope you and your families will join us there, too.
The weekend golf tournament will be ending and many golfers will be stopping in.

We hope to sell a lot of tickets. Council members will be setting up a table outside of St. Pius X after some of the Sunday Masses between now and the drawing.

If you can help, or if you are willing to try to sell some tickets on your own (they are $10 each) –
or even if you want to buy one or more tickets for yourself or your family –
please contact Outside Guard James Holbrook, Raffle Chair, 839-3050, or Chancellor Robert Holbrook, 671-5694 (H), or Council Warden Clayton Kuntz
656-4302.
A list of the prizes are listed on the back of the tickets.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you provide.

James Conwell

In 1989, a charter was issued by the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council in New Haven CT for the 9976 Council of the Order, named for the patron Saint of the parish, St. Pius X. The goal of the new Council was to become the "Mens Club" of St. Pius X Parish.

The Council immediately became active in Church, Community, Council, Family and Youth Activities within the parish and community, winning top State Council and Supreme Council Awards for achieving goals set by the Order in the above activities.

Over 150 Council members invite Catholic men of St. Pius X Parish and all Catholic men, over 18 years of age to consider membership in St. Pius X Council 9976.
